Job: Corrections Psychiatrist

Psychiatrist needed for correctional facility in Tehachapi, CA.

-Shift is 8 hours a day M-F. Can switch to 10 hour shifts 4 days a week once acclimated to facility.

-6 month contract

-At least one year of Psychiatry experience

-Accuracy in communication is critical. Must be proficient in English and communicate effectively

– Conduct initial mental health evaluations including criminal, psychiatric, and substance abuse case history to assess inmate’s/ward’s current needs and make treatment recommendations in the initial evaluation

-Review, examine and diagnose psychiatric patients of all ages

-Make clinical rounds and review progress of patients, including assessments in inmate/ward housing units

-One on one and group settings
